If Jesus Lived Inside My Heart
Tippi Ruby, Christian Books.com
"Great book for kids to learn about Jesus and how to be a good Christian. My son’s preschool loved this book."
Christina Lewis, Kids Bookshelf Review
"If Jesus lived inside your heart, would you let it show? Would you help others in need or befriend someone who's alone? Would you say sorry when you're wrong or give hugs to someone who's sad? Would you offer words of encouragement and work to make things better? A touching board book that helps kids understand how to be kind and generous in many different ways."

"A wonderful 5-star Children's Book. If Jesus lived inside my heart would other people know? If Jesus Lived Inside My Heart takes that question and answers it in a charming and colorfully illustrated way to teach your preschooler what it means to live for Jesus and to do what Jesus would have you do. This story is written in rhyme and is sure to hold the child's interest. I sat down and read this book to my two- and five- year olds right away, and they both loved it."
Armchair Interviews says 'Great story for three to six year olds.'"

"Sometimes toddlers become frustrated when they want help but don't know how. Maybe we as their guides don't always know either. Through this rhyming text, they will begin to see that Jesus uses them in different ways to show that He does live inside their hearts, by the way they use their eyes, hands, mouths, arms, gifts and talents! The colorful pictures will also help them identify kind acts, raking leaves with Daddy, or massaging Mom's shoulders. There is something for every little hand to do.

"Sweet. That one word describes this little gem of a book. The illustrations are happy and adorable. The text is beautiful, rhythmic, rhyming poetry which expresses the truth of Scripture in ways young children can understand. The book starts out with a poignant question for both kids and adults: "If Jesus lived inside my heart, would other people know?" Then the author sets out to SHOW us the attitudes and actions of a person who has Jesus living inside his or her heart. Each page shows us a specific incident where Christ-like attitudes make us shine. No vague or theoretic theology on these pages. Just simple, clear examples of daily living out our faith. "
Jill ends the little tale by coming back to answer her original question. Jesus says, "And though I live inside of you, I'm here for all to see. When others see your acts of love... They're also seeing me."
This is a great book for sharing with young children. And a great book for reminding us adults to be careful about how we react and respond to others."
I give it two thumbs up, Jill.
If Jesus Walked Beside Me

More of the Best!,
"Jill Roman Lord and Renee Graef have teamed up again to produce a great board book for kids and the adults who read to them! A child needs someone to put an arm around them. Someone to trust. Jill Lord portrays Jesus as that Someone. Graef `s stunning yet whimsical illustrations bring the words to life. Whether bike riding for the first time or trying to hit a baseball, every child needs encouragement to keep at it when things get tough. Name-calling, sickness, and failure can especially hinder a vulnerable child. This board book reminds us that when Jesus walks beside us there is comfort and peace."

Imagine This!
"When I saw the cover, I wanted more! Just imagine if Jesus walked beside me what a joy that would be. The mature Christian, knows this and the child accepts this awesome truth. Therefore, the title and the delightful cover picture is what inspired me to want more. The story is easy reading, but has very deep feelings expressed by a child who is delighted to be with Jesus. From their walk in the rain to their walk up a hill, we get to see into the reality of a child's thinking. Questions and deep thoughts will provoke lots of conversations with the child and adult reader. This is a must read for my grandchildren and my church library. Jill R. Lord has done a superb job as a writer who shares her faith with little ones.
If Jesus Came to Visit Me
Kristina at Christian Children's Book Reviews
This is a sweet look at how a child might view Jesus if he were human on earth today. In the end, the author focuses on what a child's relationship should be with him: All their hearts belong to Jesus Christ.

"A Precious and appealing book"
If Jesus Came to Visit Me is a precious story in rhyme that tells how a child imagines a visit from Jesus. The lovely illustrations by Renee Graef expressively portray the life of a young child. I especially like the one of a little boy lying on the ground watching a spider. The text teaches love, service and gratitude in an appealing an unforgettable way. Making Jesus comfortable, asking curious questions, and sharing with Him are some of the highlights. Lord writes with awareness of the heart and mind of a child. This is a wonderful book which will teach even the youngest toddler about Jesus. It would make a wonderful gift and would be a great addition to any church nursery.
